ALICIME activities

Alicime has focused its activities in the utilisation of weather radar data, and in the transfer of research results to operational applications. The activities of Alicime concern:

- research and development on the utilisation of weather radars and radar data, in order to improve the radar measurement procedures and the data processing for hydrology.

- assistance to providers of data or of services using radar data, for a transfer of knowledge and techniques from research works to operational practices.

- assistance to end-users for the best utilisation of all the information brought by radar data in the daily management of their specific operational applications. A privileged intervention field of Alicime concerns projects related to the urban management of rain water, and to storm alert systems in real time.

This field of activity corresponds to a strong will to work on all the implementation steps of the radar rainfall measurement. It is the guarantee of a permanent exchange between knowledge resulting from research works and experience feedback related to the operational utilisation.
